COBIT® is a set of best practices (framework) for IT. COBIT® provides managers, auditors and senior IT staff with a set of generally accepted measures, indicators, processes and best practices to assist them in maximizing the benefits derived through the use of information technology and developing appropriate governance and control in a company.

Course Structure

This 3 day course provides a foundation level understanding of COBIT®.

The course will step through the components of the COBIT® Framework, both at a general conceptual level, and then with an "in depth" analysis of two specific Processes.

Questions and answers based on the experience of the instructor and students will help you learn how to apply COBIT® in practice.

A practical case study is used to embed the principles and draw on the participant's knowledge and experience. Additional subjects are COBIT® Online, COBIT® and other best practice methodologies and an overview of Val IT.

Examination

The exam comprises 40 multiple choice, questions.
Candidates have 1 hour to complete the exam and the pass mark is 70%.
